Project Formula

Getting to Know You: The first step is to develop a working relationship. In order to build a comfortable, thriving rapport, it is essential that I get to know my clients on a profound level—their lifestyles, experiences, and tastes. I want to make designs that no one else is boasting which must be inspired by the uniqueness of each client.

Defining Your Needs: The second step is to spend time getting to know your space at its core. I will then be able share with you my initial ideas about how we can reflect your individuality through new design and construction.

Planning Ahead & Budgeting: The goal is to share a vision and effectively see it through. As such, it is vital to discuss the practicalities of the work that needs to be done. What sets my business apart is my experience which enables me to encounter each project hands-on from every angle. There is no need to hire outside contractors because I have the capabilities to oversee all aspects from start to finish. As a result, I can plan ahead by identifying structural and/or mechanical obstacles. This will provide you with a clear picture of what lies ahead saving you time and money.

Designing the Perfect Space: As a designer I have learned that I must think outside of my own perspective and find a place in yours. Your personality must influence my vision. Here are a few questions I ask my clients to consider as go through the planning/design process:

  • Is there a specific time period, location, or theme that you wish each space to convey? Why and to what end?
  • How do you want your new space to make you and your guests feel? Are there certain colors, temperatures or themes you wish to utilize to promote this?
  • For each space, what do you value most? Style, functionality, modernity, comfort, etc?
  • What are you short-term and/or long-term goals for our project(s)? Are you trying to sell your home? Are you expecting a new baby? Are you simply looking to modernize/upgrade?
